When information leaked out that Samsung would sell foldable phones for a better price, I really liked it. Not because I expect to buy it cheap, but because I think there are many people who will have the same experience as me. But when mass sales or many machines are sold, it is not only about selling at a price so that many people can buy them, but many other things are also needed. In this video, I want to share what I see Samsung has done on the Galaxy Z Fold3 so I can be closer to everyone.
More durable: new bezel, water resistance:
Although a few years have passed, there are still quite a few people who complain about the durability of foldable phones. I think this concern is also justified. Because essentially something moves or folds and opens, people definitely think about sustainability. A lot of people have also commented in your post about cable breakage…this idea of cable breakage is probably 20 years out of date because now there is nothing to do but brake cable. Therefore, more sustainability is essential to continue convincing users to overcome psychology.
I used it through the first Fold, Z Fold2, and followed the community of siblings who use it. Almost from what I can see, the current foldable phone has achieved the same durability as normal dumbbell machines. And this year, Samsung continues to improve more materials and solutions to make foldable phones more durable. Specifically, with the Z Fold3 and Z Flip3, Samsung has adopted a new frame system that is more durable than before, which they call Armor Aluminum. Ultra-thin glass (UTG) is therefore also a newer generation so that the folding screen experience is no different from the normal screen, and of course more durable.
The Fact That The Phone Is More Durable Than You Thought Leads To The Following Advantages:
- First, the feeling of holding in the hand will be safer. I’ve felt this when comparing the feel of holding the Z Fold3 to the previous Z Fold2. This is fundamental and important, although it is impossible to put into words. But every time we use the device, we find it firmer, smoother, feel safer, and more comfortable.
- The phone is not damaged and should be repaired or under warranty. Neither users nor providers want this to happen. By selling a few hundred pieces this is easy, a few thousand can still be handled. But for the million units, if the machine is not durable and easy to break, it will be a disaster. Samsung has experienced this like no other.
I see this as the clearest proof that foldable phones are more durable. With older phones, I almost accepted that it would die if splashed with water. Like what we experienced before when using electronic devices or telephones. However, in recent years, waterproofing phones has become almost mandatory. Samsung is the company that does this the most and the best. I tested the water-resistance of almost all waterproof phones and concluded that Samsung has made this feature the best. I tested most of the samples and none were damaged. While other brands almost all have one that is completely broken.
More Fashion, More Fun.
In this section, I’ll tell you more about the Z Flip, although the Z Fold also has many improvements to make it more beautiful and smoother. With Z Flip, it is clearly aimed at those who prefer beauty, fashion, and simplicity. And also a product that is more aimed at women. I have a comment that many brands have not been able to succeed without winning the love of women. BlackBerry, HTC, Sony, for example, focus too much on brothers, strong, straight… A strategy that wants to spread without targeting women, without focusing on fashion, is clearly lacking.
So in this section, I evaluate Samsung’s direction which is quite clearly shown in its fold line. Especially the Z Flip. But how you accept it, how you accept it, we’ll discuss it further.
Personally, I will use Fold because I like big phones. Flip if I had it I would buy it for a girlfriend but I don’t have a girlfriend my family forbids it.
