These less than 30-minute treats will become a new family favorite as soon as you make a batch.

1 C. all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon of baking powder

1/3 c. plus 1 tablespoon of nut butter (peanuts, almonds, or cashews)

1/2 cup of granulated sugar

1/3 c. packed light brown sugar

1 large egg

2 tablespoons. cold water, and more if necessary

1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract

1/4 cup of chopped walnuts
Directions
- Heat the oven to 375 ° F. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking powder.
- In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat the nut butter for about 1 minute until smooth. Mix in the sugars, then add the egg, 2 tablespoons of water, and the vanilla and blend until thick and shiny, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Reduce speed to low, add flour mixture and mix until just combined (if batter falls apart, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of water). Fold in the walnuts. Drop dough into 2 tablespoon portions, 5cm apart, onto prepared sheets and bake until puffed and starting to brown on the edges, 10 to 11 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
